Please help a girl out! I have been experiencing a little vaginal dryness with a thick paste-y discharge. I do have a little itchiness just above my opening every now and again. I have also now noticed that my vaginal opening is a little swollen and lighter/ white is colour.
I had an IUD inserted last year and have nothing but trouble with it. I had an issue with recurrent thrush (induced by hormone imbalance from swapping from the pill to IUD). Im not sure whether or not this is thrush again with a new symptom or something different I need to worry about. Please help :(
Hi, your vagina looks normal and healthy from the the picture. You can see at your vagina opening a little dry and not smooth moist look which could what your experiencing. It can be very well be thrush caused by your IUD. Has the symptoms been consistent since your first had it implanted ? Are you taking any other medication that can be effecting your PH ?
I have experienced dryness every now and again since the implant. I had recurrent thrush for four months last year which is when I started using medication that could promote oestrogen production, but no medication that could be effecting my pH.
Did they test you for BV i know that is a very common and troublesome to treat as it comes back often. The problem is when taking BC your body is producing hormones and the IUD has hormones and sometimes it take a very long time for everything to balance out. With added medication and adds another thing to the mix. Have you had regular periods or none after several months on the IUD ?
