Hi ladies! I would like to speak about your experiences with vaginal gas which is very annoying for me. I have been having vaginal gas since I had the prolapses, then I had surgery and after op I have had gas from time to time, I haven't had much lately but today it has been too much! I continue with my PF exercises by the way... Do you have vaginal gas? What produces it? I was told it is caused by Weak PF but why are there worse days than others? Is anything we can do to minimize gas coming in and getting out constantly? 😳
I've never heard of this so in curious to find out more. But sounds like it could be embarrassing for you. I'm sure Matron will be able to help.
Morning Hijadeonagro
Yes, it is air getting trapped inside the vagina because the muscles are loose and letting in air, then when you move it is expelled and it makes the sound, It is also known as fanny farts and queefing - it is not 'gas' or 'wind' that is produced in the vagina, like in our howels/digestive system. You need a two pronged attach - stop the air getting in in the first place, this will improve with pelvic floor exercises, some women also swear by shape hugging underwear that keeps everything tight, although this is not always the comfortable option. Secondly try a natural lubrication, either in the form of a pessary and applicator (because you get get it higher in the vagina and it is not as messy). This additional lubricataion helps to make the tissues glide, rather than rattle (if you see what I mean).
I hope this helps. Keep exercising.

Thanks Stephanie!
