I've had pain itching and a thick green discharge for about a year now, it's really getting me down the pain is so bad. I was tested again about a month ago for sti's and any bacterial infections and thrush ALL CLEAR. I have a doctors appointment in a few days but I just want answers does anyone know what this could be? Thank you the pain is there all the time. Before I got my results back I was thinking it was thrush so used the caneston pessary only made it worse please help
This is a sign of infection....just like when mucous is green in the nose...always refers back to some type of infection. You need to get the right diagnosis from somewhere and treatment.
Thank you so much for your reply. It definitely does sound like an infection but I've had the same tests done a few times and each time it comes back clear I'm just so confused at what it could be. I'm going to see the normal doctor but I have previously had tests done in a sexual health clinic. Also I don't sleep about I've been with the same faithful partner for 2 years. Thank you again
It doesn't mean anyone is sleeping about....we get infections all kinds of ways...I would go back to the sexual clinic anyway because they probably do more in depth testing than a regular Dr.
For example: Did the regular Doctor take samples from your vagina and view under a microscope? A sexual Dr. would do that. You definetly have an infection.
Do you have over the counter creams in the womans isle where you are to treat infections? IF SO...I would try one of those.
Yeah ill go to my doctors appointment anyway see what they say, if I don't get answers I will go to the sexual health clinic. They did take samples to check under the microscope but was all clear that's what's so confusing and frustrating. They did tell me to go back if my results came black clear so they could do more in depth tests but the waiting time is ridiculous so I will see the doctor first.
Thank you for taking the time to reply and for your help
Laboratory results are not, or should not be definitive. Obviously there is something amiss here. Where I involved in your management I would discuss Flagyl Vaginal supossitories as a theraputic trial. I really hope they sort you out soon because you have suffered enough. Good luck.
