I have had to go cold turkey due to a screwup by my doctor. I have been without venlafaxine for five days and wondered if anyone has ever used valium to relieve withdrawal symptoms?
i take ven and a small dose of valium a day. valium will take edge off increased anxiety from withdrawal. not ideal, but better than nothing.
Thanks for your reply. I was taking 3 each 50 mg standard release and the doctor has now prescribed 1 each 150 mg extended release per day. have you gone through a transition like that, and if so how did you react to the change mentally?
i would if i was feeling anxious just to tie you over til you get medication
I made a similar transition with no problems. Of course with antidepressants we all cope differently which can add to our anxiety.
