Hello,
I’m struggling with various symptoms for years .They’ve been getting worse and worse.
I feel like giving up as I can’t deal with it any longer. It has completely taken over my life .Every day I can’t wait when it will finish and once I’m in bed I have very disturbed sleep.
I’m a female 32 yrs of age. Weight 52kg & Height 165cm . No children. Married .I live in UK. I have an office job 8am-5pm
My main symptoms for years(and worsening) are –
Extreme fatigue- I’m lethargic once I open my eyes and it lasts all day.it’s not just simple tiredness ,I keep walking in walls, I can’t concentrate, sometimes I can’t even have a conversation and everything feels blurry. These symptoms are every day.Worse when it’s dark and rainy outside
Eye pain & fatigue-my eyes are hurting every day .Pressure feeling behind my eyes and sensitivity to artificial lights (my office is very bright and I struggle to see things) Trouble focusing .Sometimes itchy or sweating feeling in eyes.-Was diagnosed with dry eye ,but drops doesn’t help.
Nose pain/inside swelling?(this actually is worst one as it brings around all the other symptoms)
I have a weird sensation in nose , it’s like pressure/swelling in my nostrils and sometimes even pain-it makes me dizzy VERY uncomfortable. Sometimes itchy-I’ve been diagnosed with Concha bullosa (air-filled) cavity within a nasal concha, also known as a turbinate. Bullosa refers to the air-filled cavity within the turbinate. ) And Grade 4 dust allergy. I very rarely have a runny nose and when I actually have it –it feels better. But all the symptoms I have mentioned and will mention are definitely made worse by this nose issue.
-Weakness and pain in bones (which sometimes gets better by stretching)mainly pain and stiffness in lower back
-Skin patches –what appears sometimes (doctor said it’s urticaria) it mainly happens when stress or contact with dust
-Excessive bloating –I get very gussy and burp a lot, my hubby squeezes painful gas out of me at least 3 times a week (stomach rub)
-I’m extremely annoyed and frustrated all the time .Every day I hope I will feel better ,but no changes. I started to hate everything , I cry a lot. My hair is falling out.
I’m struggling at work as I can barely look at the screen, can’t concentrate and nose swelling is probably the worse symptom as when that happens I start to feel very weird.
Worst thing is that nobody understands !they thing I’m just moaning!
Every day is like hell for me
The only time when I feel slightly better is –sunny and CLEAR days if I’m outside .Walking or doing some sort of physical activity
Or when I’m on holidays – clear skies and being outdoors helps a lot
I have no major stresses except from physical symptoms I’m experiencing and sometimes small stresses at work.
How I feel now in the main thing on my mind and main subject with my husband.
I can’t get away from these sympotms. Those few times when I don’t have this nose issue (even though other pain is still there it’s definitely more mild)I feel like a different person –happy!! I have even cried from release!but that only happens maybe once a week for hour or two.
I started to feel terribly sorry for myself . everyone thinks it’s nothing wrong with me – as I get up every day and go to work!but it’s complete hell to me.
I’m writing this here as I have never heard of anyone with similar nose symptoms..
So the first thing I would look into is food - that's the most common cause of issues. I know it sounds like your body is really messed up, but it could be as simple as reactions to the things you eat.
Do you eat:
Dairy? Gluten? Egg?
Start small. Go 3 weeks without these three things and see if your body feels differently. Drink only water too.
3 weeks. Drink only water. Cut Dairy, Gluten, Egg. Observe your body.
Thanks for response .
I have been tested on all these and more. I eat mainly veg and meat. My symptoms is always worse with humidity (@ the moment we have + 15-18 and raining everyday)but feels really hot! Also indoors I always eat the same food rarely any diary or gluten.
Yours symptoms sound like mycotoxin illness. I'm not referring to a mold allergy, but mold poisoning.
My mother had similar symptoms for years. After being diagnosed, we removed the source of mold and went on a detox program. In about 7 months she was just about 💯.
Most doctors are clueless to mycotoxin illness. Very few have any training in this area.
*dr+ric#hie/schoem#aker- has an excellent book on the subject. There are also many great websites and :blogs# that can give more information.
Hope you find healing soon
I would get your house checked top to bottom for mold. It seems like when you're away from the house, you have a better time with your symptoms. Start there, and don't give up!
I have very similar things.
Is your blood pressure low?
A lot of your symptoms do sound like allergies. The difficult part is finding out the allergen. It may be something in your home or something at work. Do you have pets?Even things like fitted carpets can cause these allergies. Do you live in a new house or old house....mould anywhere indoors? a lot of dust? Have you tried taking an anti allergy medication...easy to buy from most supermarkets? Something like Cetrizine is a good one to start with.
I agree with this. It sounds like some kind of allergies. Long term, unresolved allergies from food or environment.
Have you considered a MRI or Cat Scan? For your nose issues you should contact a good ear, nose and throat doctor. Sounds like you may have some severe allergies. For your bloating try the papaya chewables in the vitamin section. Eat 3 or 4 as needed. It helps the bloating and gas. No doubt you are feeling depressed and this will make your hair fall out. Do you have anxiety attacks? What did your doctor prescribe for your Concha bullosa ? If you have an eye doctor ask them about this blurry vision you are experiencing. Do you have sugar ? This can make your vision blurry when it's high. Even though you may not think so you are severely depressed. You may need a complete health checkup. to get some concrete answers. Please don't give up and try to find a doctor who really listens to you. God Bless You.
Not sure.I know it's not high. I think my mum suffers with low BP.
Thank you.I always though it might be to do with that,as i always feel better in hotels or new buildings..But we don't have any visible mould...
Thanks a lot :) We are thinking of relocating
Thanks for your response I have been tested to loads of allergens .The only want what came back positive was dust. I don't have pets.We have removed all carpets and replaced with laminate. We bought air purifier ,dehumifidier , my husband does most of the dusting. We live in block of flats . Not that old -around 12 yrs old building. But it is next to main road and gets dusty quickly... yeah i have been trying loads of diffirent anti allergy pills ,drops ...,but no luck :(
Thanks for your response. I had few health checks done-privately . ENT-had CT scan for Sinus ,had eyes checked ,had endoscopy ,colonoscopy and ultasound and even CT for stomach I saw allergist ,they did quite a few allergy tests and tests for autoimmune diseases and lot of blood tests -thyroid and other things the only thing what came back was the dust allergy. They did blood & finger prick test. When they injected dust in my skin it all went really red and swelled up. Yeah i have anxiety. I started to have bad panic attacks 9 years ago.Later on i just ended up having anxiety.. I eat healthy and don't really like sugar. I might have a fruit or desert very rarely Blurry vision apparently from dry eye and dr said i don't blink properly For Concha bullosa &deviated septum- operation was recommended which i could have done last year. But then he said it might not help if main irratation is caused by dust allergy .. And i have researched -it normally doesn't even help :( so i'm lost :(
I am so sorry you are going through this. I believe you and I can relate. Have you asked your doc about depression and anxiety? Both can cause so many symptoms like yours, although I'm not sure whats going on with your nose. Please ask about them, therapy and medication combination may help you tremendously. Its worth a shot! I pray you find relief. Dont give up.
Another thing to try is take a vacation somewhere for a week. Put yourself in a different location, a different climate, a different mental space and see if your body feels differently.
Thank you :) I'm sorry to hear you have similar things happening.. How you are coping with it? is it Depression and anxiety we can relate?
i have been offered various Antidepressants and even Beta Blocators for A & D ,but i refused to take them. Don't want to become dependent or vegetable with no emotions...and side effects are tragic! I always tried to fight it myself. When i first had PA 9yrs ago, life drastically changed- my boyfriend back then though i'm crazy and left me. I lived in Scotland then so moved back to my original country for a while ,half year i lived at my sisters and couldn't go outside ,barely walk .I refused any medicine saw ~Panic attack specialist at my home once and she said to me if you are not going to walk outside now , you will always stay in this state -so i did .Every day a little bit more .Then moved back to UK on my own to start a new life. I still had attacks and everything felt blurry like i'm in a bad dream and had to go to hospital often. I couldn't tell at work as they would laugh. So just had to make excuses why i popped out for hour.. I got married few years ago and everything in my life is fine .All except from these health issues what brings back my anxiety. But like i said i have never taking medicine and always tried to fight it myself..it's just getting too hard I would like to find what is the reason for symptoms not just mask the symptoms :(
I also think it would be a very good idea for you and your family to move to another home. It seems whenever your outside or on vacation you feel so much better. Mould sometimes can be very hard to find unless you tear up flooring or walls to find the source causing the mould. Most people don't realize that this can be a potential killer. Most home buyers won't even consider a mould contaminated house.I think your on the right path and wish you healing and a happy life.
modern medicine is not all bad. Maybe you've run out of natural options? Side effects wont be any worse than the way you feel now. give it a shot.
It could be your workplace as well. Make sure to check there also!
