I was prescribed vedixal 37.5mg yesterday due to sever anxiety, was wondering how long it takes to start working, I also take inderal 10mg and was wondering are they ok to take together as last night i felt very unwell
Venlafaxine can take some time to work for anxiety I'm afraid.
If it's any reassurance my psych gave me propranolol to use alongside venlafaxine for palpitations/panic attacks and so it seems they are compatible.

I don't beleive there's any serious interaction between alcohol and venlafaxine as there is eg with alcohol and an antibiotic called metronidazole and the phrarmacy label for venlafaxine doesn't say 'Avoid alcohol' but it's best to be mindful that venlafaxine can make you feel drowsy and so you may find you're more affected by alcohol than you usually are and so you need to be careful how much you drink and aware of how it's affecting you to make sure you stay safe.
