I have been on venlafaxine 75 mg for almost 4 weeks and my head feels like it is pulsing, I feel more anxious and sweating a lot, and not sleeping well I feel terrible. I do feel a bit brighter in myself but otherwise I feel pretty crappy. Is there any hope that this will work and how long will it take please?
I have took it for three years and the sweating and not sleeping were what I had at first. It took two months before I was getting better and eventually you do sleep well and feel better but sweating is a side effect that doesn't go away fully although it does get less. The medication does work so keep taking it. I am three years without any relapse and hopefully will have longer.i take 150mg
Thank you mike I'm glad you are doing ok and haven't had any relapses that gives me a bit of hope just don't think I see any light at the end of the tunnel my head constantly pulsating just so scary I thought that only happened when withdrawing . I just want to feel some sense of normals- I've been on 75 mg for 4 weeks . I'm so frustrated.
Hi michelle82663. I hope your side effects are starting to subside. I've been on venlaxifine for 10 months and I must say they are brilliant. You have been unlucky to have horrible side effects but given time they will go away. I did have horrible side effects starting of for the first few weeks, but gradually they did get better. Anything you are worried about speak to your gp. But I will say I have been on a few diffrent anti depressents and these are the best. In time you be back to your normal self again.
Can I ask if this had any effects on your libido?
No I don't think it has.
