Hi Iam 60 year granny with panic attacks and depression I was on citperlex and then my dr changed me to Vensir xl 225 since sept I have been getting hot sweats night and day It really is getting worse I was looking after my grandchild she stayed the night but woke up all wet with me sweating beside me It was horrible Can anyone help me Iam just moping myself up all the time with a towel
Either it is causing you some anxiety, which is resulting in a temprature rise or your body is trying to secreet it as a toxin, much like when an alcohol goes cold turkey and the body starts ejecting the toxins by sweating.
Go to your GP and tell him that it is causing you problems, if you don't tell him he/she won't know. You don't state the reason for change of medication.
hello i am also on venlafaxine 225mg and i have Very heavy sweats of a night during sleep i fint i wake up 2 times a night soaking we and have to change underwear and some times the sheets. i read on line it is a side effect its commong with that dose of the medication. i reccomend drink plenty of fluid to replace what you lose in sweat.
Yes I've had night sweats with Venlafaxine, though not for a while and never during the day. I agree, it's very unpleasant. I wouldn't be without it though. 225mg is quite a high dose, how long did it take you to work up to that? Would it be possible to try a lower dose? Obviously don't reduce it if you've found that you need that much to function, but maybe it would stop the perspiration.
