This has been an ongoing issue 4 the past 9 months. I've been having these vision changes and it's kind of hard to describe but I'll give it my best try. I've been experiencing very blurry spotty and somewhat distorted vision pretty constantly for the past 9 months. Some days are better than others but sometimes I will go a week or two weeks in a row with horrible vision everyday that makes it hard to do everyday tasks. This has forced me to quit my job and causing me a lot of issues with my home life. My doctor sent me first to an ophthalmologist and my eyes are fine so sent me to a neurologist where I've done several tests including MRI spinal tap EEG and more, everything checked out to be fine. My doctor then noticed mild anemia with low iron and couldn't figure out why with no blood loss. He referred me to a hematologist and within a month or two the low iron and anemia resolved on its own. The hematologist referred me to a rheumatologist who called me and told me I did not need to be seen and cancelled my appointment. Now my doctor is telling me this is all psychological and I'm seeing a psychiatrist who is telling me it is not psychological and there has to be an organic cause that they are missing. I'm just really confused and I'm hoping that somebody could point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance
All I can recommend really is that if this issue continues, insist on seeing more doctors. It may also be worth getting another job but just a very relaxed one, low-key. Don't stress yourself out. Drink plenty of water. Eat a good diet. Keep seeing your psychiatrist.
This is totally normal to have when you have anxiety. I get blurred vision and all that. I too been checked out by my dr and have been clear. Trust your dr opinion and start working on how to deal with the anxiety. I would suggest seeing another psychiatrist too! I had a therapist once tell me that anxiety does not cause eye disturbances and I stopped seeing bc I KNoW they do!
CBT is the best deal when it comes to anxiety symptoms. Do not worry! This is normal.

My Wife suffers floaters in her eyes and uses drops every morning to clear the tear ducts and add moisture to the eye. The drops can be purchased from a chemist. It is one of those things that are cheaper off prescription and purchased over the counter.
Some Supermarkets also sell the drops as well.
I used to suffer floaters, in my case it is caused by my Psoriasis, called Blearhitus this causes skin the flake around my eyelids and around the tear ducts, where sleep, a discharge from the eye hardens. I use special cloths with a moisturiser within it and that takes away any irritation and build up. These cloths are more expensive at about £10 a box and can be prescribed.
If your tears are not forming properly or the eye is drying that may cause floaters, this gives the effect of something in the eye. Tear drop medications can also be purchased for those, the drops are similar to above.
If you wear glasses sometimes a build up can cause the lenses to retain dust, this can also cause problems with the lens, dust, regular cleaning using glasses wipes can help keep the lens clean. You can get those in Aldi, about fifty sheets £1.00.
If you have seen a rhumi, great. That condition can cause problems with your eyes

Can you get a referral to an eye hospital? Are u in the UK? If so pls log onto Moorfields Eye hospital, London. They have a lot of useful information on there with a helpline. It sounds as though you need a second opinion, not a psychiatrist. Are u taking any medications?
