I am not exactly sure where my problem is but will try to explain. (FYI For a while I sometimes have ache around right eye and headaches in that area, I have IBS and I know it sounds weird but it seems to come around the same time, possibly also anxiety/stress related??)
I have recently changed my glasses with Zenni, my old prescription was RIGHT -3.50 -0.25 AXIS 20 LEFT - 3.75 -0.25 AXIS 170, my new RIGHT -3.50 -0.50 AXIS 50
LEFT - 4.00 -0.50 AXIS 180 ADD +1.25. So its only the axis that seems to have changed a lot. This new prescription was made by an eye doctor around 10 months ago. I am only using glasses for distance so not the ADD part, near I can see ok if I remove my glasses.
The glasses arrived last week and they seemed ok, a bit different for the first couple of days but got used to them, no huge difference. But yesterday when gardening I think I was poked in the eye with a branch, I say think because I am not certain 100% it went directly in the eye or very close, it scratched my cheek below the eye and then went in under my glasses I think.
I noticed when I cover the left eye my right eye is blurred compared to the left, but both eyes uncovered vision is fairly ok. Now I don't know for sure if I have scratched the eye or there is an issue with the prescription because I never tested it just looking through 1 eye at a time before, but I tried my old glasses and its the same. Near vision seems ok.
I have been using eye drops, (Nano) they are just antibacterial anti irritant drops, (tetrahydrlime, sodium chloride, sodium borate, boric acid benzalkonium chloride, edta). to keep the eye clean in case something got in there. There has been pain around eye/headache, but as I said before I can get that sometimes anyway.
One thing I did notice is if I apply a very slight pressure to the eyeball from the right side the vision seems a lot better, not touch eye directly I mean just pressing lightly on the eyelid from the outer edge
Also I have iced the area and that made the vision worse for a while. Other than the drops I have just taken a couple of ibuprofen.
I know it sounds vague, but other than the pain I don't really know if my sight has always been worse in the right eye or its to do with the branch that poked my eye yesterday?
Of course if it continues I will try to find a doctor (not always easy as I am an English speaker in a non English country) but in the meantime any advice appreciated.
