Visual Side Effects: Visual "Noise"

I've been on Fluoxetone for ~2wks for anxiety and depression and in the past couple of days I just started having blurred vision.

I'm also noticing that my vision is a bit "noisy" and the best way to desribe it is floating twinkling lights and more noticeable after-burn images after looking at contrasting brightness/colours. It reminds me of being on some other kinds of drugs... but I'm not high.

I read that Fluoxetine can cause changes in the eye that might affect the way light is processed. But has anyone experienced anything like this?

No mania or hallucinations or anything like that accompanying the stuff with my vision. Just dealing with increased anxiety, racing heart, sleeplessness, jaw clenching, twitchy feeling, difficulty focusing.

The visual side effects are throwing me for a bit of a loop but I was really hoping this drug would work for me becuase I took it before about 10yrs ago and it was great

I'm planning to keep taking it for a couple of more weeks and hoping these side effects will subside but the weird visual stuff is feeding my anxiety. Blergh.

I havent had same thing really just noticing something out corner of my eye that isnt there. The more anxious i am the more i see it. I usually jump out of my skin thinking there is a massive spider on wall. Try to do some relaxation or meditation to see if is being caused by anxiety rather than meds.

If not...

Perhaps flurexotine was made by a different manufacturer the first time you had it or strength was lower before or you were more sick last time so missed the side effects you are experiencing now.

I too had visual problems including many other side effects but they have all stopped after 6 weeks and I feel like myself once again, stick with it you will notice the difference

I too have had the more blurred vision but more so when I have what I call my "pressure" head i.e. when I feel very heady. I have had all the other side effect you mention too but these are gradually subsidizing. I am on week 5 and basically battling on although when the blurred vision unappealing with the pressures head it just knocks me back.
