Vomiting, can't keep anything down, dizzy do I see a doctor?

I am 18, I was diagnosed with Reflux Oesophagitis in February after months of throwing up and unexplained burning pain. Since then I have been on Pantoprazole 40 mg twice a day, which doesn't seem to actually help that much I still have nausea and vomiting occasionally even if I eat completely as recommended. I recently had a review with my doctor and he said I am a candidate for surgery in a few years. However this weekend despite being warned against alcohol I drank on Friday and Saturday - I know it was very foolish and will not happen again. Ever since early Sunday morning I've been vomiting up bile every time I try and eat or drink, i feel faint and have such a tender abdomen and pain in the ribs when I move or throw up. My family are out of town and I'm home alone I don't know wether to see a doctor or just let it see if it stops on its own.

oh I really feel for you, the pain is probaly from all the retching you been

doing, from my many experience it will go but you need to put a lining back

on your stomach.what works for me is gaviscon or similar, i realise that

maybe no good if u cant get to chemist.but you do need to try getting

something to stay down can u just SIP water a little at a time or u will

dehydrate (could be 1 of the reasons u goiing dizzy)could u manage a slice

of dry toast(yuk i no!) but for me the sooner i can put the lining back on

my stomach the sooner i start feeling better. but dont beat yourself up i

still do stuff i shouldnt(i just keep bottle of gaviscon in for such

occasions) hope your soon feeling better.

Honestly, a Doctor can't do much for you at this time besides changing the medication. Did they do an endoscopy? If not then see your GI and ask him about it. For now STOP drinking and eat healthy (no spicy or acidic foods) until you have more information.

Perhaps you have a low functioning gallbladder like me, did you know that PPIs can effect the functioning

Of the gallbladder? Long story short I was dosing hard on ibuprofen and aspirin for a hamstring pull obtain

During dancing, this caused severe gastritis with ulcers, started using another killer drug for this problem such as

Prilosec and develop severe gallbladder attacks. There is Medical proof just look it up that long term use of powerful

Drugs like the PPIs can cause this issue. One problem turned into a nightmare.
