Vulva varicose veins! Can't take this anymore

I’m 22 and a virgin, and over a year ago I had some unrelated issues (vaginal infection) which got treated, but my family doctor didn’t understand what I was feeling and honestly neither did I. but now that it’s summer my sympthoms got worse and upon a google search I came into a certain conclusion: this one sided vulva swelling that seems to go away when I lay down or apply pressure to the area could indicate varicose veins. I started applying ice and wearing compression stockings and that seemed to help, but all it takes is for me to squat in the toilet or sit down for my vulva to start swelling and the veins on my labia minora to bulge out… I also get the typical pins and needles feeling when it happens, and the area starts to turn into a darker red from the blood pooling…
Could it be due to pelvic congestion syndrome? what should I was the gyno when I see him in september? ( delayed due to this pandemic)
I’m tired of this swelling, heaviness and pricking feeling and I feel confused as to why I am getting is only on my right side and while I am not even pregnant, (which seems to be the main cause).
I need help!
*Will attach some photos but keep in mind these are at a slighlty upright angle because It was the most comfortable way to take them. Meaning that the labia was not fully swollen yet. I circled the areas that swell and can be compressed back down with my fingers for a few seconds before starting to pool again.

what should i ask the gyno**

When I sit down, here i am laying back.
What exams should I ask for? anything else I can do in the mean time?
What treatment available?
I should also add this is probably hereditary, as I do have a history of bad circulation running in my family.

Hi cat,
I think you need to see the gynaecologist for this problem and not rely on the forum. A full pelvic examination is required and maybe even a pelvic scan to check the blood circulation.

Thank you for your reply. I will of course see one but only can in September… Do you have any idea what it could be and how issues like this are treated?
I can only wait for now and deal with this the best I can…

Sorry, I don’t.

laying down

Mid swelling! the labia hides it a bit but you can feel the swelling with the fingers, it extends down towards the side.
Gets worse while on my period

hi do you have any updates on what the problem was with your vulva? I’m having the same problem but idk what’s the cause!

any updates?

also wondering if there’s any update - I’ve been dealing with something very similar for a month now and questioned pelvic congestion syndrome , so I’m planning to see my gp about it.

It’s such a pain to deal with and really limits my daily activity - unfortunately mine is in an apparently uncommon spot (according to google) directly on the outward edge of the inner labia lip - so it’s almost constantly sore and visible. I’ve been trying to pinpoint what veins are in that area specifically but it’s hard to say conclusively. It’s more frustrating that 99% of information sources assume you’re a pregnant woman. Hopefully I’ll get some answers soon!

Excessing straining and prolonged pressure can do that to my lower areas. Quite possibly you use that spot more than the rest of the area and the vein is injured?

omg I’m having the same issue, i also posted this question.. mine is massive and purple compared to yours but I understand and sympathise truly. did you have any updates? I keep putting my legs up and same as you all it takes is for me is sit down and its bulging and the pressure is unbearable the Dr said she will refer me to gynecologist but I’m still waiting.

have you seen seen someone about it?. I have this.problem too.

same :frowning: it’s making me depressed.

did you get yours checked out?

Is there an update from any of you ladies??
