Wait.. does my saliva carry the BV infection?!?! Important oral sex question!

Hey. So a couple months ago, my gyno told me I had BV. He put me on antibiotics- it didn't go away.I've since been changing some things to try to get rid of it naturally before going back to him.

My question is about my relationship. I've never let my girlfriend (Yes, I'm gay, so my BV effects my sex life) touch me. I don't smell bad or have discharge or any of the BV symptoms (luckily), but she's an amazing girl and new to sex so I don't want to give her this infection. But I've been going down on her and fingering her, thinking I'm safe because my vaginal fluids aren't going in her mouth.

But I was reading about acidity home tests and it said urine and saliva test, so it got me wondering.. could she get BV from oral???

Hi there, no bv is a vaginal infection. You're ok!

See I was thinking the same thing. Like maybe if there's bacteria on the tongue and you pass it through oral sex. Idk. I've had it too. Twice. It really sucks what us females go through in life.

I've wondered about an oral sex/BV connection as well.
