i was going to have my second op in May but I had very low iron so could not operate. So waited until now before I got the all clear. Had my appointment with the surgeon today and he said 19th October but no sooner I got home when the surgeons assistant phoned me and said there was no ops in October and did not know why he gave me that date. (That made me feel secure. Not) so the assistant said 17th November unless something comes up in September. So is it September or November because I know it's not October. All I want is a date so I can get organised and get myself ready.
Awful to have to wait, my surgery is next Tuesday, I a scared but can hardly wait to have it over with, Nov is an awful long time to wait! Good luck, I hope Sept opens up for you!
Good luck Heather - the wait and uncertainty really don't help do they? As if you didn't have enough on your plate already! Be sure they know explicitly if you are willing to take a cancellation. Many people will not or cannot contemplate this, but if you are planning and preparing now, it sounds as if you might be able to take one. That's how I got in so quickly for my first thr.
I hope things work out for you soon and will cheer you on in recovery.

Sorry heather that you are having to wait so long. I am sure it seems like forever for you. I hope they get you in September. I don't know what I would have done if I had to wait that long. I waited a long time for my first one, am 10 weeks post op and going in 11 days for my second. It hurts so bad I am counting the days and then hours. Not looking forward to another surgery but looking forward to being out of this pain and getting back to normal. Wishing you well....Barb
