Waking up like electricity or buzzing feeling on ssri?

Hi everyone, I have been on  an ssri for about a month now and I’m waking up a tiny bit shaky and buzzying feeling in the morning. It won’t at all let me get back to sleep.

Have you experienced this and will it go away?  I think I had this when I first started Prozac years ago.

I can fall asleep fine but wake up this way which sucks.

I wake up shaky I’m taking antidepressants though so I don’t know if that is why as I’ve only been on them a few weeks

Yes it’s just a very agitated feeling in mind racing. Not relaxed at all in the morning so I have to get up

Adrenaline and cortisol forcing you to wake-up. The Artificial drug adds to it. Only take psych meds if it is necessary to keep you alive. Benzos create electric shocks in the head that cause insomnia.

I agree with the artificial drug thing but SSRIS have help me over 20 years often to get through a bad period of time Of anxiety.    I had my cortisol levels checked and they were completely normal. I do believe the adjustment of these drugs is what is doing it to me for sure since it’s only been six weeks. Benzodiazepines I only take .5 mg in morning right now. Once the anxiety dissipates I stopped taking them and then I’m good for a year or so

I take a low dose of mirtazapine just so I can make it through benzo withdrawl. I have only taken 35mgs of Xanax over the span of 6 months and the withdrawl is horrifying. Benzo interdose- withdrawal can start as soon as the second week of use.

Benzos work on GABA receptors which is very dangerous. Thus, they cause structural damage in the brain. This year a federal mandate will require that 95% of patients be weened off. Prepare yourselves by tapering ahead of the game.
