Hi can anyone help me , I had my hip replacement 8 weeks a go everything well I still have a bad limp, and I have to have my other hip replace as well. The question is . Can I use a walking aid wheel. Because I use a pair of chuches all the time , can I move on to a wheel walking aid , thank x
It's tough i know- I have had both done too-I think you should ask the advice of your surgeon or physio first
Good luck
Sue
Thank sue I will go and see I physio, I haven't seen one yet.
You mean a rollator walker, like in the photo below? Limping can cause problems with your recovery, as you overtax the muscles that have to carry you through the limp. I found a rollator walker to be extremely useful to me as I limped between my two hip surgeries. I was able to walk smoothly and quickly when using it, and I didn't hurt myself by making my other muscles work too hard. I found using crutches much more difficult. And the seat on the rollator meant I could put heavy items on it and move them around the house easily.
Thank you , I amazing going to buy a 3 wheel one good advic I happy now . X
