Hello hippies
Day 29. Had the night from hell. Severe hip pain so difficult to settle. Snatched about 2 hours. Reflected back on yesterday's events. Nothing unusual but walking into town with friend. She walks quite fast and I think I tried to match her pace. Am conscious of pace when with 6 foot son and he slows down. Guess I presumed female friends pace same as mine. Will take an easy day today
Hope you are all improving and getting of the pain killers
Hubby walks quite fast too and I have to ask him to slow down as if I try to walk as fast as him, my hip aches too. If I go at my own pace, which is much quicker now as I am 20 weeks post op, I am okay, but hubby still walks faster than me. I expect it is all these miles he goes talking the dog for a walk.
Thank you Barbara that is reassuring. I have walked 4 miles on my own and did not suffer any twinges. Cannot imagine 20 weeks post op x
Hello Ann! Welcome to this wonderful world of hippies! There are so many people all at different levels of recovery! I would take things at a slower pace today! I am just over 6 weeks! And I am still bruised and swollen! I am also a carer for my disabled hubby! He too has oa of hips knees and spine! Also deaf and severely sighted!good luck regards Amanda
