I've been taking citalopram on and off for about the last 12 years. I have come to terms that it's something that I'm probably going to have to take for the rest of my life.
I want to start trying for a baby soon but am worried about being pregnant whilst on this medication. I'd love to be able to come off of it, but knowing that I'd be more prone to post natal depression the thought of not taking it terrifies me.
Has anyone out there taken this during pregnancy? Any advice would be truly appreciated.

Hi ally I took citalophram with 2 of my pregnancies they just have to keep an eye on the baby to make sure they have no withdrawl symptoms from citalophram good luck on your adventure whatever you choose to do.
I wouldn't trust just the doctor, there are studies on the internet suggesting risks. You say you've been off and on medicine, how was off. Maybe then you can switch to a more natural solution with less effects on pregnancy
