i have beeown a diabetic for over 20 years know , but never taken it serous i thought what the hell , never took all the medication ext thought it would just go away . , how wrong was i anyways my best friend was also a dietetic and we would talk about or illness he would nag about making sore i was taking my tablets ext ,, 28 days ago he had a hart attack and went in to a coma . i went to the hospital he had 5 children wife and sister there he never came around , i watched the football with him england last game in the world cup next day around 4 oclock he passed away . the coroner say he had a diabetic Sergei due to not taking him orchestral tablets , this is warning to others like me its opened my eyes i know take all my tablets ext , and am taking it more serious i hope this helps others that are like me know how bad it can be .
Sorry to read about your friend - it is devastating for his family and friends - even more so in that possibly and probably, the disaster could have been avoided.
It drives home the point that this really is a serious illness but it can so easily be managed with just setting up a daily routine and by being aware of your physical condition. We have a responsibility to ourselves and loved ones that we must make an effort or run the risk that unfortunately, your friend decided to do and has paid the ultimate price.

Hi Am24, you’re right, you have to rake it seriously. Watch your carbs, learn about glycemic indexes and which foods are best, eat enough protein, exercise regularly. All of these things go a long way towards reducing the effects if diabetes.
