Washed out.

Don't know why I still feel like a washed out weekend. Lightheaded n wobbly.

I'm resting loads and doing stuff but sure I should be feeling better now.

Feel Transparent and apparently look it!!

Blood pressure, blood etc all normal!!

Hi Gaby

Best take a look at what drugs you are taking and what side effects they may have

Hi gaby, I can put this into context.10yrs ago I developed very rare condition of lung abcesses, I had many months of treatment, I got on with it.

this hip replacement has knocked the stuffing out of me, far more than I evere dreamt anything could!!

sadness,anger,depression!!

i rely on my loved ones to get tough with me, and kick my bum into action!!!!

Hello.

I am am two weeks post op and was going through the same thing as you.  Just washed out and in a fog.  It was some of my meds I was taking.  I agree with the other person about checking your meds and talking to your doc.  Since I have stopped some of my meds I am feeling wonderful!!!

And my face is not so washed out!!!  I actually have some color returning

good luck!

Thank you. I'm not on ANY MEDS other than paracetamol.

Hopefully I'll bounce soon lol

Haha. Although my knee replacement was way more painful I was flying by comparison.

I'm giving in today but tomorrow I have hydro and consultant appt. suppose I'll be tired Wednesday but after that I must get going!!!!!!!๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ™Šโ˜น๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

dear, sweet gaby ,

you just had major surgery 2 weeks ago - tried to do too much a week ago and expecting way too much from your self ..

I don't know, of course, but you probably are a very sensitive soul -

feeling transparent is a perfect expression of the way I am feeling right now ...

this is an emotional roller coaster ride - one moment we feel up and next, we go down and then up again -

just go with it ... this too shall pass ... your body is letting you know what she wants - try not to resist so much, okay ....

when overwhelmed, take a nap, someone told me once .... do nothing ...

it is alright

big warm hug

Hi Gaby

This surgery is really big stuff that's why the stuff-ing is knocked out of you. Sorry. Bad pun. But the truth remains. Your body is putting a lot of energy into healing itself and maybe telling you that it's not ready to be better now. Your timing on better is different to your body's timing. I was surprised how much I slept for about 4 weeks. And not doing much during the day.

So keep resting. I think it might be normal to feel washed out.

Not only I was washed out but so was my wife! It is a major event in life, because you are stressed out before the op too. Tony

You're so right!!

Thank you. All your comments are a great help!

Thank you so much! Been asleep All afternoon!

I am 8wks post op right hip, I had both my hips replaced 8yrs ago , although they were more painful I didn,t have this level of tiredness I've had with my hip,the first 6wks of only being able to sleep on my back really knocked the stuffing out of me, I didn,t feel like doing anything only trying to catch up on my sleep, I forced myself to do the exercises as I knew how important they were to my recovery. My sleep has improved but it's not great, maybe my body clock has been thrown out of sink, some days I still feel exactly like you feel Gaby21but it is getting better I,m walking well, pain free &generally on the mend so hang in there it will get better. Hope things improve soon . Susybobs x

Thank you. What I find odd is, I'm actually sleeping between 6.5-8 hrs a night!!!! Plus sometimes asleep all afternoon!!!! ๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ’คI'm in no pain! On no meds!๐Ÿ’ŠExcept blood thinning injections for a month๐Ÿ’‰. But still feel like a wet weekend๐Ÿค•Some days haven't got dressed and done very little!Just about manage to make Dinner for my poor old hubby๐Ÿ˜ฆSo long as it's not too long!

I've got Hydro ๐ŸŠtoday and Consultant ๐Ÿ‘ท2 week check up. See how that go's .xx

You know how many hippies will be so jealous about sleeping  for 6-8 hours, right - I manage 4-5 hours and call that a good night !

wow, busy day ahead for you ...

take care and take it easy -

warm hug

renee
