Everything seems fine. I can reach my feet, put the socks and etc. after 3 months. the only thing that I am lazy nowadays. 2 thr and I am 42. Hope everything will be fine...
This is so encouraging! Thank you. I am so glad that life is getting back to normal for you. Wonderful news
Good to know TLG, you may just need to give yourself some time to get back up to speed, or not, some people spend their lives being lazy with no serious side effects - me being an example of that 😁
Hi Tolga,
Good to hear from you again
Why do you think you are lazy?
To be honest, sometimes I feel the same way - But then I realize that I had 2 THR surgeries and so have you -
A lot of healing has/is taking place -
Great accomplishment to get down to your feet !!! don't force it though - Some days I still use the sock-aid (I have become close friends with it) because I feel to stiff -
Do you have to go back to work ?
Take care sweetheart
big warm hug

Perhaps you are just doing an impression of a swan. Appearing to be doning nothing, whilst the healing is continuing at a rapid pace. After all, they sayit takes 12 months to recover...

Sounds good to me - at 19 weeks post op & 9 weeks post revision (same restrictions for 12 weeks) I can just about put a sock on that leg now, with a bit of a push and fiddling around.
Best wishes

Thanks Renee, yes I can go to work and drive all the way. No stick, no nothing...
and weird, no limping
you are welcome, i wish you the best !
the thing is about being lazy is my legs get weak. I will find a solution since my doc doesnt let me to get on a bike
revision ?
Yep, I had revision just 10 weeks after my surgery due to the surgeon putting in my ceramic acetabular liner in at an angle. He tried to get it out to put a new one in, but failed to move it, so the revision was all for nothing in the end.

I have just turned 43 and have had 2 thrs in 3 months. I am getting much better you just feel lazy because you have been in recovery for so long. Its made me look at my life diffrent l have been in a job l hate for 13 years so am now thinking its time for a change. I want something diffrent from life now. What it is l don't know but l am thinking l am due back to work on may 2nd. I want this to be my last year at working at the bank. I am not lazy l just am sick of getting up at 5am every morning to get ready and drive 20 miles to a place l hate working. I want more from my life now. But you are not lazy you have been in recovery. X
