Weak, breathless, tired. please help!

For about the last 4 months i have been really tired and striggling to stay awake past 8pm. Then over the last couple of weeks i have also been having dizzy spells, my legs feel like jelly and i get breathless as soon as i do anything. Even taking a bath has me out of breath.

I have been to the doctors and they have done tests for diabeties and checked my iron levels for anemia and the tests have come back okay. My blood sugar level is also fine and they have said it is probably a virus.

I have had to take a week off work due to being so weak and breathless and i'm worried as i'm still feeling no better at all. As i have had my symptoms for so long and i don't have a cold or sickness alongside them does that not mean it couldn't be a virus?

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. I have absolutely no idea what to do and just want to feel better!

Hi I have been having similar symptoms and had tests done for low cortisol. I will have the results 2 weeks time. Just a thought, have you had your thyroid checked for hypothroid?

Hello, thanks for your post smile

I haven't had that checked no. I didn't think my symptoms were that similiar for it. The only matching symptom i seem to have is the tiredness but i may suggest it to the doctor next time i go!

It's just starting to worry me a little as it doesn't sound like a virus to me. But that's might just be me haha smile

Hi there are quite a lot of symptoms with an underactive thyroid. I was diagnosed 3 years ago with this. I wanted to sleep all the time. Breathlessness is one of the symptoms too.

Ah okay. I don't really know much about it. I will suggest this to the doctors when i go back.

Thank you! smile

I had tiredness, dry skin, constipation, hair loss. I wrote the symptoms down and showed  it to my Dr. He said it sounds like a  thyroid problem. I had a blood test and it came back underactive. I am now on thyroxine.

If you google hypothyroid symptoms it might show some symptoms that you are getting.

Good luck.

I deal with low cortisol and mornings are draggy......but I work with many supplements and have the beauty of an integrative MD....thyroid is the master hormone, master thermostat, I went 10 long miserable years not getting help from conventional MD........  long story and I've talked about it here somewhere, but we have TO DO SO MUCH of our own work...here in the US we work with a lot of supplements.   Joy 76 US

Hi could you tell me if low cortisol can cause chest pain?
