Phew quite the week. Had surgery last Tuesday and can FINALLY say Im one week post op. Pain has been minimal just some minor discomfort or pain when I move ankle wrong in splint. I managed to get by only taking 3 hydrocodone total and didnt like the way they made me feel. Two issues maybe yall can help me with. First, I cannot get a good nights sleep to save my life. Usually toss and turn till 2-2:30 am before finally falling asleep. Second, am I far enough post op to sleep on side with leg elevated and pillow between legs? Im thinking they have the splint in a position to protect ankle! One week down…Thanks
I would think the splint will protect you if you want to try side sleeping
I was same, didnt like the oxycontin made me so nauseous
I take melatonin about an hour before I want to go to bed
Also Advil PM helps
I took Aleve PM last night before bed and got a good nights sleep!! Talked to nurse and she ok’d side sleeping. Now just need time to speed up!!!
