Now I’m at the start of week 11. I have seen some major jumps in my recovery and I’m loving it. My thigh stiffness and soreness if really beginning to subside, I have been working very hard on one of my goals "stair climbing" which is much improved and I will be returning to work the week after next. I want to say that everyone here on the forum has been a tremendous help with suggestions, shoulders to cry on, exercise recommendations etc. I've watched and commented on many of your postings be they good or bad days, it's like a big family here. I just want to thank everyone for all the support you've given me over the past months. I will be returning to work the week after next, that will open a whole new chapter on my hip replacement recovery journey, it should be interesting thats for sure.
Good luck Susan, I hope I'm in your position in a few weeks!
That's really good news - good luck on your return to work!
Good luck from me too.
This site has been amazing with the support.
good news and good luck at work, take it easy still, and dont over do it -whatever your job is you will be knackered when you get home for the first couple of weeks so be prepeared for early nights

That's reassuring as I'm 8 wks and still have thigh stiffness and soreness and keep thinking I hope it's better by time I go back to work at 12wks! Hope work goes ok and pace yourself!
Tracy:-)
Good luck Susan
Going back to work is a great milestone, just beware you've had major surgery and it takes time to get back in the swing, phased return is always good if you can it worked for me eventually I've quite a physical job, so remember take it slowly and you'll be fine, knackered for want of a better word first few weeks but then stamina returns slowly,
Good luck well done and most important take care😃
Regards
Vicki xx
I'm a nurse in the very same hospital/operating room where I had my surgery. I'll be on my feet 8 hours so I'm praying my coworkers will have mercy on me.
I still have a bit of stiffness now and then but each week it's been getting so much better and not as often. That started around week 10
Wish I could do phased return but being out for 12 weeks they expect me back full time, I'll be careful
Good luck hope all goes well for you. X
Good luck susan. I am today 6 weeks post op. Things are now looking brighter than they were 48 hours ago. I hope you continue with no issues.
