I have been on sertraline before for a year, until a couple of months ago I stopped cold turkey because I felt fine. This was all good up until a couple of weeks ago when I felt my panic attacks coming back, so I started my 100mg dose again.
I never had many side effects last time I was on sertraline apart from a bit of sickness, but this time I am having horrendous side effects!
The one i'm struggling with the most in fatigue. It's awful, some days I struggle to keep my eyes open or even concentrate on anything I'm that tired! Has anyone experienced this? Would be reassuring to know it passes! I also suffer from brain fog, mainly in the mornings.
Hello I know this is a really late reply sorry! I was prescribed sertaline last year and I had terrible side effects to the point I couldn’t carry on taking them! I took my first one and within an hour I was throwing up, dizzy, very weak and had to get in bed and sleep it off! I went back to my gp who tried to persuade me to carry on with them and within 4 days my body would be used to them and I’d no longer have side effects, also he suggested taking half of the dosage for the first day or so to let my body get used to them slowly but there was no way I was trying them again! But to let you know my gp did say that the side effects to go once they are in your system properly and your body is used to them!
Thank you for replying!! Yeah most of mine have worn off now but left with this awful tiredness, days feel so long I'm constantly exhausted! I'm hoping it will pass soon are you on any other antidepressants?
Hi! How long have you been on Zoloft total? And how long on 100mg? I’m coming up on 6 weeks of being on it but only 8 days of 100mg and feeling terrible! 😩 I have been on it previously and it worked wonders. I’m sure it will again. Just the waiting game is terrible! Are you feeling pretty good?
I was on it for a year to begin with and it worked amazing! I went from having 7 panic attacks a day and not being able to function to none after they kicked in! Ive recently come back onto them think I've been on them like three weeks now - two days of 50mg and then straight up to 100mg as that was my dose before! What side effects are you struggling with? Mine is just constant tiredness now!! Feel drained 247, hoping it goes otherwise will have to try drop down x
Since I went up to 100mg I’m constantly anxious , no relief what so ever! I threw up all day the second day I was on the 100mg. Now just here and there! I know it works for me.... it’s just getting through all these awful side effects and making it to the other side!
