Weight gain

Is it normal to gain weight after removal. Removed last May & put around 10lb already & cannot get get it off.

You might have a fatty liver, which means that the liver loses its ability to digest fat, and starts storing it in itself and elsewhere in your body.  It makes it very difficult, if not impossible to lose weight. There's lots of information about it on line.  However, I suggest that if you think you might have it you stay away from supplements offering to cleanse your liver.  They're very harsh.

Hi lynda I think you've mentioned about supliments before and I wondered if you had any more advice. After gall bladder removed a few years agoI have slightly fatty liver. So trying to help myself I thought I'd try milk thistle and artichoke tablets (not at the same time) . Both made me feel worse with cramping tightness I get in my right side so I stopped after a couple of days. I asked my doctor about it but he had no idea and said it shouldn't do any harm. I didn't know if it showed it was working and that is why it cramped or it was a bad thing. I took the lowest amount possible . I dont know if things maybe stuck together inside and it just pulls and hurts. Thanks
