Hi I’ve been using benepali now for 5 months also still taking methotrexate & ive been gaining a lot of weight even though I’m quite active even with Rhematoid? I’ve tried diets that use to work but nothing is shifting it! Is this normal or something I should discuss with a professional?
I have been on Methotrexate for about 6 months and have gained 12 pounds. I have also tried to stay active but havent lost a pound. It is very frustrating!
are you taking prednisone? If so that will cause weight gain
I have gained a lot of weight on prednisolone but I do not take methotrexate. I am finding it nearly impossible to stop gaining weight let alone losing it. I hate it but I don't know what the answer is. Suggestions welcome!

Can you get off the pred? tell your dr you want off and if you don't have pain pills tell him you want some
Hi, I've been in methatrexate without weight gain. I'm on humira, which doesn't seem to cause weight gain. Prednisone is notoriously famous for causing weight gain so I just take that for a short course during a flare. So many drugs out there have weight gain as a side affect. I am so sorry this is happening to you. Please see your doctor . There are other drugs you can try without unwanted side effects. Good luck, Diane
