I don’t know if we mean the same thing, but since March I’ve had a strange feeling of constantly not being able to take a full breath, with air hunger, frequent sighing and unsatisfying yawning. I went to the doctor and she told me it’s anxiety related and I am otherwise healthy. I sometimes wake up during the night drenched in sweat, if it was not for that I would sleep well. By the way, I am 51.
Three weeks ago my son came to visit from Uni and after a few days here he had a little accident that resulted in a whiplash. One day later he was in a bad emotional state, he was in pain and he looked anxious and depressed, that caused a lot of worry, I went to get him some anti-inflammatory tablets from the pharmacy but before I left he reached for a cigarette. He knows I don’t like him to smoke and he assured me he seldom does. We then talked calmly and I left. Later I went through the scene with my thoughts, I saw him weepy and emotional one minute and pretty calm and composed in a matter of minutes.
Tobacco kills, I don’t need to tell you that. But that same evening I asked my son if I could buy a cigarette off him. I am a non smoker, he was baffled by my request.
I took two puffs hiding behind our garden shed, feeling a little ashamed, I felt dizzy but during the following minutes my breathing returned to normal, it is as if I snapped myself out of a constant air hunger.
My son’s neck is getting much better by the way and he is back to being his happy self, and I plan to remain a non smoker. I just thought it was a very peculiar thing.
One week ago I added soya to my diet. I am eating tofu pretty regularly. It’s still early days but I am dryer at night. Could it be working already? Look into the benefits of eating soya products during this phase in our lives.
I wish you well, I hope you get better soon x

Also, Korean ginseng is helping me with the lack of energy x
