Weird bug bite won’t go away

Hello, more than a week ago I noticed a red bump on my leg that looked like big mosquito bite. It soon turned into a scab. The middle part of it went away but the red circle on the edge of it remains and wont go away. Usually it’s at least little itchy and swollen. What bug could have caused this? Should I be worried and is there anything I can do?

Doctors can normally help but when it comes to red around the edge - the one to worry about would be a tick bite (if it starts to look like a target) but horsefly bites can also go red around the edge - and they are generally nothing to worry about.
