Honestly in the picture, your eyes look normal to me,if I were you I might ask for a referral to a neurologist if you are worried.
In August of 2018, I looked to the left and backwards. When I looked forward again, my eyes were no longer working together. I had double vision. I have been to neuropthamologists, eye oncologists, countless opthamologists, regular doctors, chiropractors, etc. They gave me 13 diagnoses. I’ve had an MRI. The only thing that the doctors mostly agree on is that my left eye has something on the muscles behind it. It also is happening to a much lesser extent to my right eye. My left eye has little movement which is why the double vision occurs. My left eye was also swollen. My daughter started researching medical eye journals online and found a rare eye disease called ocular myositis. A doctor gave me prednisone and now I am taking theracurmin. Ocular myositis: diagnostic assessment, differential diagnoses, and therapy of a rare muscle disease – five new cases and review - PMC The swelling has gone down. The eye can move somewhat, but I have to work on it for it to move. I am looking for a vision therapist right now. But, progress has been made. ![]()
Thank you for sharing your story, I will definitely look into that. I feel like there are not enough eye specialist out there, it’s really hard to find someone who even remotely has a clue as to what’s going on. I’m glad the treatment is working for you, I hope you make a full and speedy recovery ![]()
Thanks Lee,
The doctors have said the same. I guess it is not as noticeable but since I look at my face everyday, it seems more severe to me. My vision impairment may also be exacerbating the situation. My concern is mainly not being able to focus my right eye. It is difficult to read text books for school due to the double vision and even driving is hard to do at night, the lights are stacked on top of each other.
I will definitely try to see a neurologist. My doctor suggested a neuro opthamologist, hopefully they can figure out what is going on with my eye.
Hi! You’re welcome. I hope you make a speedy recovery too! ![]()
I agree with you that it is hard to find someone who knows what is going on.
I’ve kind of lost hope with the medical field, most won’t even consider what you research on line,I’m thinking, they don’t research on line? what’s wrong with that picture?
