Weird Internal Tremors

Hi everyone, I am back again. Haven't posted anything for awhile. I haven't had a period for 8 months now. I've been experiencing a weird new symptom. For the past several nights I wake up with weird internal tremors in my abdomen area. What I do instinctively is start stretching while I am in bed. The tremors stop within a few seconds.

This is something I have never experienced before. Have anyone of the ladies here experience this weird new symptom?

Hi Maria, yes, I remember the tremors in my stomach too. Weirdest sensation. It didn't last long that I can recall. I sort of recall making ginger tea and I think that did it.

I had those too. But it seemed like my entire insides were trembling. It didn't last long and they afterwent away completely after a few months. Crazy symptoms aren't they?

Thanks for the reply, I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this. I didn't want to go to my doctor fot this issue. Wonder what causes them. I find it unnerving though.

Thank you juanita, menopause really is something else.

Hormonal imbalance can cause all sorts of symptoms. Our adrenal glands also participate in the reaction. Luckily, they don't last very long and in time you'll forget you ever had it. Just like me until you brought it up and I was reminded. Let's hope it goes away soon.

I've had this too in the past. I put it down to a symptom of anxiety, which seems to hit everyone during menopause. Often I would go to bed feeling normal and, as soon as I'd lie down, I get this awful sense of foreboding as though something bad was going to happen - it was awful and very distressing. That was all around the same time as I had that fluttering or tremor like feeling inside.

I had actually forgotten all about it until I read your comment. I don't get the tremors any more but I can still get that awful feeling that something bad will happen. In the quiet of the night it can be hard to convince yourself that its a menopause symptom and not a woman's intuition!!!!
