Hi guys, I just had an internal hemorrhoid banded today and I was reading the pamphlet. It says "empty your bowels in 2 minutes ". This might be how I got myself into trouble in the first place, but I've never been able to empty that fast. Sometimes it takes me a good 15-20 min. Any advice on how to speed up the process? How long do you take , especially after having a procedure done?
Stool softener at night , and Fiber supplement in the morning. Its like almost immediately after drinking it in am. Im in and out. If you cant go within 2 minutes, get up and walk around until you do. DON’T sit and strain!!!
Thanks! That’s always been my problem. I’m a “pusher”
And thats exactly one of the reasons we’re on this board ![]()
i did 5 banded procedures … they were all a waste of time . no relief
it wasn’t until i had hemmrohoids surgery when i got some relief .
The answer for emptying your bowl is :
-
eat good very rich with fiber
-
drink a truck load of water whether you want to or not
-
eat more fiber
-
drink fiber juice ( 100% pear juice for example )
-
more water
