I am wondering if what I'm experiencing is related to my GAD. Long story short been through tons of anxiety and stress over last 3 months. I've been feeling much much better these last few weeks. I quit drinking 3 months ago even though I was never a heavy drinker, just social. I smoked a pack a day for 9 years and recently quit 21 days ago. I've been feeling this awful scared nervous worried feeling in my chest. It's hard to explain. My chest feels tight at times but honestly it just feels like something is wrong with my heart or my Insides. I don't want to panic but I am tired of feeling like something is wrong with me. The main feeling is between my boobs. Like in that pit of your chest. Any one ever experience this before?
Hi does it feel like a shot of adrenaline going right through your heart? If so I have that every night and don't know how to fix it , it's very scary
Sounds like it is withdrawal from your cigarettes.
I used to smoke in the late seventies I smoked sixty cigarettes a day. I used to get chest pains caused by the stuff in the lungs until they began to clear.
The other feelings are nicotine withdrawal, you will need to wait and let the fugg out of your system. You may feel a gigarette may hel, I would advise against that and suck something like Fishermans Friends Original, they seem to help with the horrible taste in the mouth.
If you are concerned talk to your GP and He may offer tests when you get further down the line
Good Luck, Keep a Hold

I just seen this post and thought I would weigh in on it.I am a female in my middle 40's and have been unfortunately having the same feeling in my chest I actually think my heart is ready to stop, the pain and the feeling is REAL..Did you get a diagnosis for your chest pain? I have been to the doctor like 4 x in a week and have been told I'm having anxiety. Could be but it seems strange.
