I got a lot of panic attacks, but this one today was the weirdest one,i was stressing a lot for the past couple of days and today i was playing volleyball with my friends and reached out with my keg for the ball when suddenly my heart felt like somebody squezed it really hard and it cabt get a full beat,it was really weird i cannot explain it,that lasted for a couple of seconds and then fast and hard beats started, has enybody had a simillar experience.(and ofcourse i have anxiety)
It sounds like arrhythmia, and yes it happens with or without anxiety. A few is completely normal, that happened to while swimming. But they usually last a few seconds. If it persist all the time where it intervenes with daily activities then you should see a dr
Same happend to me then anxiety kicked in fort I was going to die I've been to hospital twice in a space of a month docs 4 time they getting me a 24 hour heart monitor just to see what's going on they say its nothing to be worried about ano its hard coz your mind thinks other things well mine does doctors can medication for this sort of thing get checked soon as tho hope all goes well Liam
Well i dont think arrythmia can start a terrible panic attack, and i only have this feeling before a panic attack
Doctors say my heart is fine so i guess its just anxiety, but it still scares the s**t out of me
A panic attack can come out of nowhere without cause. Thats whats so scary about them, you dont need to be provoked. But physical symptoms such as the one you described can certainly launch you into a full blown panic attack. The key to panic attacks is to keep calm and take deep breaths.
Sounds somewhat like palpitations. I'm not a medical professional of course, but I've had similar symptoms, and anxiety-induced palpitations was the diagnosis I walked away with.
But yeah, more to the point I have experienced this when exercising before and it was quite alarming. I have a bit of anxiety about exercising, I used to be an athlete, and try to stay active, but I have an irrational fear of being too physically active because some part of me thinks it could trigger an undiscovered condition (even though I know working out is one of the best ways to prevent heart problems down the road).
I agree, pretty much anything can trigger a panic attack, and they also can occur with no discernable cause. Having the sensation of an arrythmia would definitely be enough to trigger one in me though.
I workout bcus it helps my anxiety and i never had palpations, but i guess my anxiety is connected to sport bcus i got my first panic attack while playing football
Sounds like there's a connection there. When taking part in activities like football, your pulse is elevated and your adrenaline is pumping, the same condition one finds themself in when having a panic attack. I know it's weird, because excercise definitely reduces anxiety as well. I find that strength training, like lifting weights, releases more endorphins for me than doing cardio, but everyone is different. Keep playing sports and just remember that you've been checked and are fine, anxiety works in strange ways.
Thanks,it helps me when i know that somebody out there has the same condition as i do,i was stresing before the game so that probably caused the attack,im slowly learning to deal with them, thanks for the answe Steven good luck with anxiety.
Same here I work night shift so a think more about it in the early hours always thinking the worse m8 something going to happen but its not just anxiety chest pain arm pain legs just the mind playing with us in 26 and I've been fine all my life just came out of nowhere scared the s**t out of me
