Weird veins under breasts - scared I have superior vena cava syndrome :(

Hi there,

I’m a 33 year old female non-smoker.

A few months ago I discovered some very weird lines on my rib cage. They are some kind of telangiectasia / spider veins which I normally don’t have. Since then they’ve spread from my left rib cage all over to my right side. Other symptoms I have which may or may not be connected to that: stinging rib pain mostly on my left side, occasional back pain and about 30 tiny red spots on my ankle (they dont hurt).

Doctors dismissed it. Made the mistake of googling it and read about vena cava snydrome. To be honest it looks really scary to me and kind of like this: sahli venenkranz - Google Suche

My blood work came back normal and my chest xray, was clear (at least they said so). Can you confirm?

Do you have any idea whats going on? I am scared out of my mind :frowning:

Believe what you are being told. Vena Cava syndrome is an emergency and you do not have it. You sound as though you may have a mild digestive upset going by the left rib pain and backache.
