I had enough of zapain not working and amitriptyline not doing sod all so I went there and totally broke down ! I've just had enough so they gave me 50mg of tramadol and 30mg of amitriptyline which I was on 10mg before plus I have been referred to the rheumatologist at bloody last !

Hello Sadie, I know how you feel,I recently went to visit my Doctor as pain relief was doing jack s**t,I take 30 Duloxatine & 10 Amatriptaline, couldnt believe my ears when he said 10mg of Amatriptaline was nothing,like licking a smartie his words,i thought wtf have you not been listenig to me the last few times i have come with the same complaint!!!!!!!,I counted to 10 in my head 
and said please can you give me somthing that works so that i can function daily enough to do somthing, result 60mg duloxatine & 30 Amatrip. Still in moderate pain and head feels like a sponge, advise taking the Amatriptyline early evening.Good look with the Rheumatologist,I have not been to one, I found out when I was in hospital for seizures ( functional) it was in my notes!!!!!!, diagnosed in 2007,nice of them to let me know.I find light yoga helps a little.Still piddles me off i have to say.Oooooh what would it be like a day without pain eh?. Hi Sadie, really happy to hear you have now got your meds increased - hoping they help you. When do you have your rheumatology appt? Make sure you take with a list of all your symptoms so he/she has a good idea of what you have been going through. Good luck!! X
Hi Sadie I hope.your okay we all feel your pain. It is horrible what you have to go through. I'm only 18 and it took them from 14 till now to diagnose Fibromyalgia.
However is starred on 10mg amitriptyline and zapain. They just kept moving it up everytime I had a breakdown because of the pain.
I am now on 85mg amitriptyline, muscle relaxers 60mg of flouxitine (prozac) and tramdol 8 times a day. You can't possibly work and have a life taking this.much medication so I try not to take the tramadol as it is just not possible to live a normal life.
I have finally managed to get.a referral to the pain clinic as I am done with taking these tablets I want to try other therapies!!! I urge you to request to see a pain specialist i have been told its kind of worth the wait.
I hope you get on okay and I hope the new medication takes the pain away for you. Much love xxxx

Hopefully soon !! Oh don't worry I have a huge list just for them lol the doc wanted to sign me of work but I said no due to only going back tomorrow for first day as been on maternity leave for 13 months !

Omg Vic you are so young I thought I was at 34 ! I've got three children to which absolutely kills me I have a one year old who I can't keep up with and a 11 and 15 year old who helps me a lot I feel like my 15 year old is like my carer there all boys to I feel sorry for them as I'm just so tired all the time !

Good to hear as a good rhumey will help put you on the right tract to feel better. I take DEMARDS for fibro pain help tremendously. And OTC MEDS.

Good advice. I do agree slow stretching helps me.
Yoga is good to and palates and stretching. I agree the rhumey will help with better meds. It just takes time to find what woks for you.
most of the meds your on gives me horrible migraines and pain meds with opiates cause allergic reaction.
Great news Sadie, can't believe that you weren't referred to a Rhumo before this.,wonder why the doc increased your Amithriptyline and gave you other meds too, .without finding how they worked for you??..oh well..really good news about your referral...hope all works out well for you..be blessed sadie.have a lovely day..:-) xxx
