With the advice of my doctor, I went off 5mg of Amlodipine 2 days ago, and only feel mildly better. It was giving me some serious acid reflux, which I had not had in over 5 years because of surgery that secured my lower esophageal sphincter(LES) (Linx surgery). The acid exacerbated my asthma so much I had an asthma attack last week, and have been dealing with breathing problems for about a week now. Even after going on omaperazol, I still have trouble. Anyways, I know it's the Amlodipine's fault so I stopped it and was wondering how long it will take to recover? I saw it has a half life of 35-50 hours, and should be out of my system within approximately 11.5 days? I'm wondering if that's also when my LES should recover as well? The problem mainly persists at night time which makes it very difficult to sleep :( A side note, my asthma is usually pretty well controlled, also have not had an asthma attack like this in years.
