I wound up in the ER last night, chest discomfort and spitting up blood. I’ve been feeling various physical symptoms for over a month now (fatigue, headaches, chest tightness, digestive issues). Last night they did a chest X-ray, CBC test, D dimer test, and two other blood tests. I had a relative who passed away of cancer two years ago and it haunts me everyday. My blood work came back great, x Ray negative, EKG good. I guess what I’m trying to ask is, would any form of cancer show up in a blood test or multiple blood tests. I know that with most cancers, anemia would be present. Any insight on this???
You sound just like me two weeks ago. My bloods ECG and x-rays all came back clear too, but I am not 💯 yet.
Also lost someone to C 2 years ago, I wonder if it is some weird late onset sympathy related illness?
Did you/do you have any other symptoms?
Wishing you well! I feel the pain of the not knowing. 😀
Just a little bit of brain fog
Spitting up blood!? I would see a specialist and family doctor and get more ideas. Possibly something like GERD but not hopefully dangerous. The ER is for life and death situations. If they think you are not serious enough to die they release you. It does not mean you don't have a condition. It means that they think whatever condition you have does not require immediate treatment or admittance to the hospital. Something like GERD will not show up on an Xray or blood test. Only a scope test will see that damage. I would seek advice from the family doctor. MANY PEOPLE WITH GERD ALSO HAVE BAD ANXIETY. They go hand and hand, one causing the other in my opinion.
Yeah that’s another possibility. The doctors seem to think the reason it happened is because I’m in a band and yesterday was the first time I sang for them (we play real heavy/screamy stuff lol) and I did it for 3-4 hours.
