Hi ladies as the title goes - just wondered for those who have had cysts if a doctor had been able to feel it? or if you could even feel it yourselves?
Right side pain. Mine was not able to be felt. I had several examinations by GPs over a two year period and nothing was felt. Requested further investigation and had an ultrasound which showed what was thought to be a simple cyst 9x8x6cm. Went to see consultant who could not feel it. Had another ultrasound plus internal ultrasound which showed a cyst around the same size and a couple of months later had a hysterectomy. Cyst was actually a benign tumour which was just smaller than a football ( but i felt that it had grown considerably in the two months before operation)

I had a 8cm+ dermoid removed 2.5 weeks ago. I never tried to feel it but my Dr. was able to feel it during a bimanual pelvic exam. I hope this is helpful.
