Hi everyone. Hope you’re all well today. Well what an up and down week I’ve had. It’s been a little difficult at times, haven’t really slept the last couple of nights but on the plus side I’ve managed to go for a drive or 2 and I’ve tackled the bicycle and can now do full rotations. Wooohooooo. It’s seems no week is going to be the same as I’ve been told but wanted to say perseverance and patience is the key.
Thank you to all those people who have give me hope and support since joining the forum 😊
We’ve got this 👊🏼
Hi Webdie,
Sorry to hear you’re not sleeping, believe me I know that feeling. I’m 9 months out from rtkr. Still get nights when I can’t sleep or I get up after a few hours. Benedryl helps a little. I’m sure it works out soon enough. Hope you feel better soon

Well done! Yes, patience and perseverance!
Congrats on your progress! It's those small things that are so encouraging. I'm driving now too. Driving myself to PT today for the first time. I was able to sleep during my recovery until just recently when I stopped taking my percocet at night cause I'm weaning off of them. Now I am so restless, uncomfortable and in pain in my bed. It's driving me crazy. All the other meds I'm taking do not help with the pain at night enough. This week I will be completely off my percocet and I'm not looking forward to how I will feel.
How many weeks post op are you Wendy? Sounds like you are going well..
Yes! LOTS of ups and downs! Not a straight or steady PATH AT ALL!
The thing is, pretty soon you will probably find that eventually there are more good days/ nights overall.
Patience is hard to accomplish, but it DOES pay off...eventually.
Congratulations on your success with the bike rotations and on your driving!♥️♥️
