I am fine in the afternoon and evening. I do lots of walking and trademill aswell. I try and eat a healthy diet. But the reading in the morning seems to be high. I am type 2. Could yopu please tell me what i can do.
If your readings are below 6 i wouldn't worry too much its your liver giving you a quick energy start ..try n test around 3 am to see what your reading is then as it might be a pre dawn thing ..just compare the 2 tests...
I aswell have high levels in the morning and I always have. It's called the pre-dawn effect because levels just seem to peak in the early hours. I go to bed with good levels but always wake up high. Do you take insulin? If so, I would suggest finding the time you peak, which is 4 a.m. for me, and correct down to your target range.
A few years ago, I had the same and my doc prescribed Lantus solostar (as well as the usual novo). It's another pen but with slow acting insulin & had to take 5 "units" before bed. Not on it any more but that's what I had.
