The skin on the head of my penis has been cracked for as long as i can remember. Recently i've looked into it more but cant find a reason. Ive researched balanitis but it doesn't look like that. I have a loose circumcision so i have some foreskin that covers the head of my penis when it is flaccid. I'm not sure if the skin is too dry or not. I've bought a sensitive skin bath soap to use to clean my penis when i take a shower but it doesn't seem to have changed anything.

I have the same thing.
I am uncut and my glans was smooth, and then this crack appeared overnight shortly before turning 14.
I have been told it is nothing to worry about by 4 different doctors and that it is just a normal variant among penis heads.
It has not caused me any problems and I have had it for 49 years.
I have come to terms that this is just the way I am.
I don’t know what this crack is called.
Surely there must be a name for it, but I have found nothing.
Also, I don’t know how it formed.
My guess is that I am genetically programmed for the connective tissues to break down between the glans and corona.
It might be encouraging for you to know that this crack is not an uncommon feature in penis heads, among both circumcised and uncircumcised men.
