Help! I've been on the depo injection for over 3 years and I can't deal with the depression and weight gain anymore, I can't go on the pill because I have bad ibs so it lowers the effectiveness when I have bad days! What do I do? I don't want to gain anymore weight and the mood swings and loss of sex drive are horrible

I absolutely love the NuvaRing! Been on it a year with 0 problems whatsoever. Occasionally some breakthrough bleeding, but not much, and I used it continuously.

We too have been using the NuvaRing and yes it's amazing, been using it for the past 3 1/2 months and no big issues so far. A little dryness down below but that's nothing a little lubricant can't solve

Thanks ladies, do either of you know if I have to wait until my injection runs out the change to a different contraception or can I do it at any time? It's due in May but I don't want to wait that long!

I suggest you consult a doctor to be sure but I would imagine you'd have to wait for the injection to run out. Don't want to mix hormones with your body too much
