Hi, 

I have previously had numerous ear infections and perforated ear drums in the past. I had grommets years ago. For the past few weeks I have felt pressure in my ear and it crackles when I touch my ear / face / neck under my ear which other people can hear. Occasionally I have had a sharp pain but otherwise it doesn't hurt. Thanks

I  have something very similar to this, periods of sharp pain but otherwise non-painful. Got it checked out at ENT a month ago and they said allergy related. It’s still going on however?
