Anyone else feel severely depressed when increasing to 100mg?
I have only been on 100mg a few days and ended up at a crisis centre last night because I felt so unwell.
I just need to know wether to stick with it or not x

slow increase is the key. my anxiety always get worse before it gets better when i increase the dose

potatoghost, i am sorry the depression got worse for you but i guess raising the dose is the reason. do you still have morning anxiety

i also increased my dose a while ago and felt worse. it took me about 6 weeks to notice SLIGHT changes…so try to hold on a bit longer.

hey sue x yeah I went straight to 100mg under docs orders x day 6 of increase and feel worse than ever x I’m starting to panic that I’m going to be stuck like this forever now.
and these tablets wont work for me x

both anxiety and depression got worse…especially the dream like, out of body sensation…i was on 50mg and increased to 75mg..

Hello…im just curious as to how long have you been on sertraline in total? i have a prescription as well…ive been struggling so badly so the point of agoraphobia!! I live way out in the country 30 mins from any town and i tend to have social anxiety so i cant bring myself yo go to town! Every time i try to go i become so anxious i make myself sick! So i have zoloft im suppose to take, im so afraid it will make things worse. I tried it a few years ago but stopped cause it made me so sick i lost 15 lbs that i cant regain, caused bad headaches and twitches, but it helped the anxiety. i just dont know what else to do :frowning:

oh ok, well you have done it now so it is just a case of batten down the hatches and wait for the storm to pass. No need to panic I am positive you will not be like this forever, yet to come across anyone who has been or is. even drug resistance patient find relief with something eventually

hey kelly x thanks for your reply x today has just been one massive Brainfart so its reassuring to know my depression and anxiety worsening is more likely the increase rather than the meds not working x how are you doing now? x

hey brandy it will be 8 weeks altogether. every increase means starting from scratch with side effects.
everything you said about trying it before is completely normal and as horrible as it is it does pass after a couple of weeks.
it will be tough at first but once you power through it will be so worth it in the long run x

2-4 weeks for the side effects to pass x sometimes sooner sometimes later x
dont panic if your anxiety/depression gets worse for a bit x that is normal x
