What do you do when you have an Anxiety attack?

Do you call 911, go to the ER or ride it out knowing it's not going to kill you?

i first went to the hospital thinking i was having a heart attack. no years later i try to just ignore them and ride them out.

I ride them out . you get use to it over time

Let it pass. It will not kill you.

yes well my experience is really a pressure feeling of threat/ insecurity of not being able to cope with life. Sometimes taking a painkiller benefits eg when u first wake up and can’take rest. Ultimately it’s a type of mental suffering and the best thing to do is allow your endurance increase to meet it. Others might also say to remain patient under the crushing weight and accept it rather than be desperate to escape it. If it’s any consolation I too experience this and it is a very lonely experience.

My anxiety was over the top at one time; as my anxiety attacks were.

My physician has since prescribed Gabapentin (sp) and Lorazepam which help a great deal.

I’ve also heard that deep breathing helps also if you don’t have medication to help with your anxiety, in addition to listening to relaxing music.

What helps for one may not help another and if you continue to keep getting severe anxiety attacks, you may want to see your physician for medication.
