Started experiencing symptoms about ten days ago - no pain or flu like symptoms, just a mildly itchy rash appearing on my inner thigh. Over the course of a few days it developed into lesions but still I had no pain, no oozing, bleeding etc. Due to Christmas I couldn't get swabbed at the docs so I consulted doctors online and provided images which both said they didn't think was herpes. Provided a steroid cream which seems to have helped.
Since everyone on here really seems to know what they're talking about and many of you have experienced this, just hoping to get your opinions on what it might be. I should also mention I haven't had any sexual contact for months and nothing like this before!

I have attached pictures from various stages from the "outbreak". I am in two minds for the following reasons. On one hand, it looks like some images i have seen of herpes and has followed the 'textbook' herpes lifecycle (rash, lesions, scabs). But on the other hand, as mentioned previously I have had no sexual contact for months and this is definitely my first outbreak, i had no other associated symptoms, no pain, it's on my thigh and only on one side (both of which I've read are rare for a first ob), plus two doctors didn't seem convinced.
I will go to the doctor for a blood test, but wanted to see what people here thought too. Thank you
Just read that it is better to get the infected area swabbed than to do the blood test. Had a serum test myself but the CDC recommended to be retested six months later to be conclusive.
