What is causing my pain? Kidney stones? Pancreatitis? Something else?

Hello, I am a 29 year old male who has been experiencing chronic pain in my right flank just behind the bottom of my rib cage.  It feels like I’m being stabbed between my ribs. I do have 2 kidney stones (9mm, 6mm) but my surgeon said not to worry about them because they are unobstructive. Likewise, I have had on and off pain behind my right shoulder blade and occasional pain in my right abdomen just between my groin and hip. I should also note that I have unintentionally lost 40lbs in the past 8 months. I had my gallbladder removed last year so that’s not the culprit, but I’m at a loss and feel like I can’t get a straight answer from any doctors.

Sometime after gull bladder removal this pain starts up on right side right under rib cage.  Has something to do with bile...Look this up and read about it.   I had it and took cholostraymine and it left  after 1 box of it.  Ask your doctor for a prescription.  Hope this works.  I am not a doctor but I think they are fairly big stones and they may not be stuck but when they move that is the pain in bottom right that they cause.  Drink 2 liters of water a day....

It could be left over pain from your gallbladder removal. Sometimes nerves can get disturbed.

Are you eating greasy foods.? You know this sounds like you might have high blood sugar. My uncle was loosing weight unexpectedly and his doctor diagnosed him with diabetes. Take precaution by asking your dr. for a glucose test. Ask him also to see if your appendix is fine. Let us know !
