What is correct and painless way to have Stent removed ?? (MALE)

need answers please... this is  for the (No string type)

The only painless way is through a sedated procedure, which in my opinion is unnecessary. You have to block out an entire day to be dressed for surgery, IV put in, knocked out so they can use a cystoscope to go up and grab a loop and pull it out. This is how my first tent was removed. I want to say it cost me $400 after insurance to do it this way. My second stent was removed when I went to my new urologist for a follow-up. I went into a room with a TV screen. I undressed from the waist down. The nurses put a numbing cream on the entrance (I'm female, so not sure if they numb the penis for this). The urologist came in and used a cystoscope with a grabby hand inside it. I watched the TV while he did it. It was mildly uncomfortable. He grasped the loop and pulled it out quickly. It was sharp, but over as quickly as it started and I felt so much better. Compared to having the stent inside me and all the other kidney stone pain, this was easy and nothing to worry about. I've heard men describe it similarly for the most part...not painless, but over quickly enough that you forget about it. It took less than five minutes from me going into that room to getting dressed to leave. I preferred that method much more than the sedated way.

Absolutely agree with Luna Sea. Same for me. I’m also female but I’d also recommend asking your doctor to tell you to cough when he pulls it out. I found that good, have had several removed and although it’s unpleasant it’s so quick it’s not that bad and well worth it to get rid of the stent!

Good luck.

Also have some diclofenac sodium (voltarol suppositories) handy; as I’ve had renal colic after stent removal before. It probably won’t happen to you but can’t feel happy about leaving this discussion unless I say about this. Think it just started up my pain again due to the movement of the stent but hopefully you will be fine.

I am also female and had stent removed no problem without being out to sleep.

Just take a deep breath and it is really quick.
